Raz-Kids—Online Reading!

Hello kinder parents!  I have just updated my Raz-kids roster.  If you look on the tab to the right under Educational Fun—you can click on this link Raz-kids you will see your kinder’s name listed along with an icon.  Click on the APPLE  icon and follow the directions below from Raz-kids:

  • Your kinder has access to award-winning digital resources through Kids A-Z, Learning A-Z’s website created for students. After your kinder logs in, each website your kinder’s teacher has subscribed to is shown. Your kinder can work on assignments or select other resources for reading and writing practice.
  • Access resources on mobile devices by downloading the Kids A-Z app from the app store. Data rates may apply.
  • Kids A-Z Login Instructions:   
    • Step 1: Go to www.kidsa-z.com
    • Step 2: Enter or choose the teacher’s username, kbohl0
    • Step 3: Your kinder finds his or her username on the class chart,   example: Sally
    • Step 4: Your kinder enters his or her password (which is their first name), example: Sally
  • How to Register for and Receive Progress Reports:
    • If you would like to receive activity and progress reports for your kinder and send him or her messages, you can register for parent access from your kinder’s teacher. Once the teacher approves access, you can view reports and send your kinder messages by clicking on the parent link at the top of the screen at www.kidsa-z.com. Here are the three options for requesting access:
    • After your kinder logs in, click on the green parent button at the top right of the screen and enter your email address. Send your email address(es) to me at kbohl@hpseagles.net

Here are the instructions to login on Raz-Kids.  Enjoy reading together….on the computer, with your TAKE HOME book, with your library book, or your favorite book.

RAZ-Kids is an AMAZING reading app that Georgetown PTC sponsors for all of our classrooms.  This is a GREAT app to download on your phone or tablet for your kinder.  It is a great way to give your kinder exposure to digital literacy skills.

How to login:

  • Download the app: Kids A-Z (also known as RAZ-Kids)
  • Open the app and type in the following username:  kbohl0 (the last digit is zero)
  • Find your kinder’s name from our class list.
  • Your kinder’s password is the apple icon.
  • Once logged in, go to the “Level-Up” section.
  • Now your kinder can choose any of the stories on the app to listen to, read independently, then answer comprehension questions

Check out these awesome programs, completely paid for by our amazing PTC (parent teacher club). A paper with more detailed instructions came home with your kinder.

1- CLEVER

Clever is an easy way for your kinder to access all of the learning applications they use at school. It allows them to access all of their learning applications with a single username and password.

Our younger students use individualized Clever Badges login without a username and password. Students can login by holding up their badge to the webcam.  (INFORMATION WAS SENT HOME YOUR KINDER’S PERSONAL LOGIN BADGE & LOGIN INSTRUCTIONS).

How to login:

  • https://clever.com/in/hpseagles
  • Click on the Clever Badge Log in.
  • You will be asked for permission to use your laptop webcam.  Click yes.
  • Hold QR badge up to webcam.  This will take your kinder to the CLEVER site.
  • A page will appear with multiple learning sites for your kinder! 

2 – MOBY MAX

One of the apps offered through the Clever service is Moby Max. This is a phenomenal app used in-school grades 1-3 for math fact fluency and phonics/reading skill practice.

Math modules recommended for K:  numbers. 

Reading modules recommended for K: Phonics, Alphabet letters, Alphabet sounds, Phonics Blending, Phonics spelling, Foundational reading, Sight words
