Spring Field Trip

Our class field trip is happening very soon.  Our class, along with Ms. Hutchison’s class, will be going to Hemlock Crossing Park  in West Olive for a nature and wild life study using our 5 senses. The kinders will travel by bus together, leaving by 9:15 a.m.  We will explore the Nature Center from 10-11:30 approx.  Then we will climb on the bus to travel to Hager Park in Jenison for a picnic lunch and play time, returning to school by 2:00 p.m.   A  bright orange informational note came home.

Hemlock Crossing limits the number of parent chaperones that can attend.  ONLY 6 parent volunteers can join us for the morning activities.  All volunteers have been contacted.  Thank you for ALL of the volunteers to chaperone.  It is least favorite part of my job to have to limit chaperones.  All chaperones will provide their own transportation to and from the field trip.  Please consider carpooling if it is easiest.

However, all parents and younger siblings are more than welcome to meet us for the second portion of our day at Hager Park in Jenison for a picnic lunch and playtime. We should be at the park by 12:00 p.m.   Kinders will be asked to bring a sack lunch and drink on our field trip day for the park.

If it rains on our field trip day we will still go to the Nature Center and if rain persists we will cancel lunch and playtime at the park and return to our classroom for an inside picnic and playtime.  You are welcome to join us there if it rains.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me or fill out the orange sheet and return it as soon as possible and I will add you to this FIELD TRIP PARENTS list.

More specific details about our field trip will be coming home prior to our trip day.  Thanks so much for your support and understanding!  Mrs. Bohl
